Volunteer

For those patrons who wish to support the Opera House with a more hands-on effort, we are always looking for more volunteers to join our Angels. Our Angels are primarily known for their outstanding hospitality at all performances, as ushers and box office personnel, and they are vital to ensuring that all of our events run smoothly.

We also the appreciate the help of Angels in other ways. If you would like to volunteer with the Opera House to usher, assist with special events, help distribute show posters in your town, or assist with clerical projects such as mass mailings, please contact Adam in the box office at (207) 873-7000. We would love to have your help.

Interested in making onstage magic? The Opera House is always looking for support during our own productions, whether it is by the building the set, painting the stage, sewing costumes, playing in the orchestra, or working backstage during performances. If you have some experience or skills, we would be happy to work with you. Please send an email to operainfo@operahouse.org.

We hold auditions for our productions a few times each year, depending on the needs of each show. All audition information is included on the Audition page of the website and in our e-newsletter. (You can join our mailing list on the Contact Us page.)
