The financial support you provide is the reason the Opera House is able to continue year after year. In this time of giving, we hope you will consider a tax deductible gift to enhance life in Central Maine through the performing arts.
It is difficult to measure the true impact of the arts with any number. Jonathan Larsen, in his musical “Rent”, says the best way to measure a year of life is by Love. The love that passes through the Waterville Opera House in a year is immense: artists who dedicate their lives to their craft, community performers whose passion shines onstage, and the wonderful family formed with the people who spend their time here.
We would like to thank you for being part of our WOH Family and for the kindness and generosity you have shown by supporting our programs and mission. The holidays are almost upon us and we wish you a wonderful season with your loved ones.
Treat yourself by attending our 2 family friendly shows in December, “A Christmas Story” the musical based on the classic holiday film, as well as Bossov Ballet’s “The Nutcracker.” We hope you will stop by the theatre to catch a performance, backstage tour, or just to say hello and let us know what kind of shows you enjoy. In just the first 2 months of our 16-17 season, our stage has featured an almost sold out Sawyer Brown concert, 3 comedy acts, 2 Arts in Education shows attended by over 16 local schools, 4 broadcasts from around the world, and a successful run of our fall musical, “Young Frankenstein”, experienced by more than 2000 people.
It can be easy to overlook something that’s been around for more than 100 years, but it’s hard to imagine Central Maine without the Waterville Opera House. Please keep us in mind for your seasonal giving and help us give the gift of art to everyone in our community.
Thank you and Happy Holidays,
