During the academic year, the Opera House offers a selection of performances that we believe will meet the curricular, financial, and scheduling needs of area classrooms and home-school groups. Ranging from adaptations of favorite children’s books and interpretations of historical events to live-action science demonstrations and musical performances, these events are many students’ first opportunity to experience live performing arts. We host over 4,000 children annually.

The Waterville Opera House is pleased to offer three school shows during the 2018-2019 season. Because of our sponsors’ support, we are now able to offer tickets at $3.00 each. To reserve your seats, download our reservation form and policies here, or call 873-7000 for more information.

School shows are open to the public and home-school groups*. However, tickets must be reserved in advance of the performance and a registration form must be completed. Phone reservations will not be accepted.

Please note: Tickets are not available for purchase on the day of the performance.

The Ticket to Ride program, offered by The Maine Arts Commission, supports arts education in the state of Maine. Funding, provided by the program, defrays the cost of travel for Maine schools wishing to visit Maine arts based venues and events as part of a well rounded curriculum. Any K-12 school in Maine is eligible to receive support. To find out more visit the Ticket to Ride website.

*To ensure audience enjoyment, please refrain from bringing children under the age of 4 to these productions.

Arts & Education programming at the Waterville Opera House is made possible through the generosity of the Borman Family Foundation and Inland Hospital.
